Mentorship program

Every year thousands of students approach us for jobs/internship in ASIC domain. Less than 1% have the aptitude for this field. Our mentorship program offers every applicant an opportunity to every applicant from electronics engineering field to get a hands on experience on what a job in this domain looks like and decide on whether ASIC design is for them.

How to apply

The mentorship program is open twice a year, Once during Summer and Once during Winter.

We announce the program status on our company linked in page. Follow our linked in page to get notified about the next session.

What to expect from the mentor.

  • Mentor is not a classroom teacher. Teaching is a full time job for an academic teacher/professor. Your mentor has a full-time job in the industry and is helping you through the difficult phases of your learning journey in his spare time.
  • Questions that can be easily answered by reading the documentation of searching the web will not be answered by the mentor. e.g. “I am getting ‘IndentationError: expected an indented block’ what should I do?”

Why this program?

Our internship program typically lasts around 6 months, allowing participants to gain valuable experience and contribute to real-world projects. However, we have encountered challenges in the past where interns and NCGs may lack the necessary aptitude for core engineering work or basic computer literacy skills required to excel in the program. This can sometimes result in a delay or complete failure in their ability to become productive team members before the internship concludes.

To address this issue, we have developed a mentorship program that aims to address these skill gaps and enhance the overall internship experience. The mentorship program offers potential candidates a preview of the expectations and responsibilities they will encounter during the internship. It also provides them with the opportunity to upskill at their own pace, ensuring they have the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to succeed.

By participating in the mentorship program, candidates can gain valuable insights into the work environment, familiarize themselves with relevant tools and technologies, and receive guidance from experienced professionals. This allows them to build their competence and confidence, ensuring they are better prepared to contribute effectively once the internship begins.

Additionally, the mentorship program serves as an evaluation period for both the candidate and the company. It enables us to assess the candidate’s aptitude for the job, their willingness to learn, and their compatibility with our team and work culture. This ensures that we can make informed decisions regarding their suitability for the internship and potential future opportunities within our organization.
